Halloween is just around the corner and there’s still time to get your customer fired up about creating DIY Halloween outfits incorporating lingerie and accessories. Lisa Tran of Seven ’til Midnight sits down with us for this special holiday-themed All Hallow’s Eve Q&A.

And, as a bonus, we have bloggers Mallory of Yours Truly, Mallory, Lisa Lee and Joann of Love Fashion Live Life show off their own crafted looks using the brand’s lingerie and accessories:

Seven ’til Midnight offers some great accessories that can easily be incorporated into a Halloween outfit. Could you tell our readers about some of the accessory items in the Seven ’til Midnight collection?

Seven ‘til Midnight carries a wide selection of garter belts, thigh highs, stockings, gloves, tutus, lace eye masks, and cat ears. We have everything needed to build or complete an outfit for Halloween. Our most popular item that continues to sell out is our galloon lace eye mask, available in black and red (STM-40132).

Have customers and retailers ever sent in their Halloween looks using Seven ’til Midnight intimates and accessories? If so, what are some of the best looks you’ve seen?

Yes! We get tons of customers, retailers and bloggers who send us their Halloween photos every year. We saw some great styled looks from bloggers such as a saloon girl, pin-up girl, vampire, cat woman, and bunnies – all DIY looks!

Zombies are arguably going to be a popular costume theme, how and what Seven ’til Midnight accessories and looks would you suggest someone use to create a frightening (or sexy) walking dead outfit?

Technically, any bedroom costume we have can be turned into a zombie outfit. For example, our Naughty Nurse (STM-9736P) and Sensual Scholar (STM-9675P) can be turned into a zombie look for the night with a splatter of fake blood and some rips in the thigh highs. However, we also have several bustiers and corsets that can easily tailor to any frightful look you desire. Our gloves are certainly a great accessory piece, as they are available in lace, motorcycle style and opera length. Of course thigh highs are great DIY items, as you can easily manipulate them for any look.

“We have several leopard printed bustiers, chemises and bra sets that can be styled into the purrrfect look for Halloween.” – Lisa Tran, Seven ’til Midnight.

Feisty felines are always a top Halloween outfit theme, what Seven ’til Midnight accessories do you suggest customer’s pair with to achieve this look?

We actually offer cat costume sets that include everything you need: (STM-9680P) Kinky Kat and (STM-9673P) Kitty Kaboom. Aside from these two, we have several leopard printed bustiers, chemises and bra sets that can be styled into the purrrfect look for Halloween.

Our Leather and Lace bodysuit (STM-9833P) can be paired with our infamous cat ears (STM-40133) for a cat woman costume. For a sexier costume, try our Hear Me Roar (STM-9580P) teddy, which can be styled with black shorts, cat ears and our satin opera gloves (STM-40109). Another option is the Leopard Love bustier (STM-9827/9827X), available in regular and plus size and can be worn with jeans for an office party.

Corsets also offer creative individuals a chance to transform themselves into something else on All Hallow’s Eve. What are some Seven ’til Midnight corset styles that would be perfect for the Halloween DIY-er?

We have two corset styles that we just introduced this Holiday 2015, both traditional corsets and are available for regular and plus size.

Our Knock Out corset (STM-9852/9852X) can be worn from day to night. With a sweetheart neckline, metal boning and lightly padded hidden underwire shelf bra, this corset is a great DIY Halloween piece due to its versatility in styling.

For a more romantic feel, our Prima Donna (STM-9854/9854X) is a two piece lace corset with metal boning, lightly padded hidden underwire shelf bra and also has a sweetheart neckline. Both corsets come with a thong and have a side hook and eye closure.

Halloween DIY Retail Tips

Do you have any suggestions for your retailers on helping their own customers create a DIY Halloween look using Seven ’til Midnight items? Any merchandising tips?

Visual displays help shoppers a lot. They may not know what they want to be for Halloween yet when they walk into your store, therefore they need some inspiration. Placing costume ideas on mannequins and merchandising DIY pieces together in one section will greatly assist your customers. For example, place a corset on a mannequin with gloves, our lace eye mask and a tutu for a complete burlesque look. Make sure to place all these items near the display so customers can easily grab all the pieces they need without having to search around the store. This is also a great way to up-sell the accessories!
